Bobby first told us about this machine about a year ago. At the time it had just been named the SCAA Product of the Year (this was before the opening of his second cafe) from that day on, we couldn’t wait to try it.
We rushed in on opening day with much disappointment to find that there was a gaping space on the counter-top where this machine was to sit. But it had not arrived.
A few weeks later, we stopped in again – and there it was. Though only to tease us with it’s dashing good looks – for it was not dialed in and was misbehaving.
Good things come to those who wait.
On my third visit to Demitasse in Santa Monica, I found roaster and shop owner, Bobby Roshan as well as our new friends, The LA Brew Techs. I had a feeling today was going to be my lucky day.
We filled the meter with our last quarter and when we returned, we were finally able to enjoy the full experience of the Alpha Dominche Steampunk Brewing System.
As always, we made to sure to capture the moment so that we could share it with you – though if you get the chance – we highly recommend seeking out a shop with this machine in your area – it doesn’t just make a great cup of coffee -its a treat for the eyes as well!
